George Hildebran Fire/Rescue was established in 1970 as a volunteer fire department that protected a large rural community. As the department and the community have grown in the past 38 years many things have changed. One of the most significant changes in the department's history was changing the departments charter from providing Firefighting and First Responder services to adding Rescue Extrication services to our citizens. In this the name of the department was changed to George Hildebran Fire/Rescue. More recently the department made another much needed step towards the future by hiring one full-time employee to respond to emergencies Monday thru Friday 8-5. The individual hired for this position is Richard Patton, he is a Firefighter II, EMT, EVD and CPS Technician. This position had proven to be a great asset to our community. Each Firefighter with George Hildebran Fire/Rescue is proud to serve their community with determination and honor.
