George Hildebran Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire on Hmong Village Rd. As Engine 731 arrived he reported he had a mobile home fully involved. The original view from the A side of the structure was obscured by several chicken coupes. Access was made to the structure through a fence gate. The first attack crew found the mobile home fully involved with a partial roof collapse and fire extending to the chicken coupes. A quick defensive attack brought the fire under control and was followed by an extensive overhaul operation. It was later discovered that the mobile home was also used as a chicken house. The chicken house was heated by two wood stoves, one of which is believed to have caused the fire. The only casualties of the fire were several chickens that lived in the mobile home. George Hildebran Fire Rescue was assisted with automatic mutual aid by Salem Fire Rescue and South Mountain Fire Department.
