George Hildebran Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to a MVA on Miller Bridge Rd near Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Firefighters and first responders had just located a patient on a separate call for an injured ATV rider. Byrd Farm Rd command requested Icard Fire Rescue to respond to the MVA on Miller Bridge Rd. to assist. GHFR personnel and Icard personnel arrived on the scene at the same time to find a single vehicle with one occupant that had struck a large tree with the driver’s side door. The single occupant was pronounced dead upon arrival of Burke County EMS. GHFR personnel extricated the patient by removing the driver’s door and the roof of the vehicle.
